About Gaurav Saini
Gaurav Saini is an actor, director, drama-teacher and short-film maker. He started his journey in theatre with Barry John, first doing his diploma course and later working as a part of the faculty for two years in his Imago School of Acting in Noida.
He has explored different forms of theatre and approaches towards acting which include highly physical and rigorous forms of training in traditional Indian dance and martial arts and traditional Japanese Noh and Kabuki theatre forms. He has worked with instructors from Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Pondicherry and The Santiago University in Chile.
Gaurav Saini is a Black-Belt and a certified instructor in Thang-Ta, an ancient martial art of Manipur in India. He is one of the first non-Manipuri student to be trained in the art directly under the masters in Manipur itself. He is trained in Kalarippayattu, Tai-Chi, Judo and Krav Maga as well. Presently he is learning Aikido.
